Description

UT-King’s MTP trunk cable, a cost-effective alternative to time-consuming field termination, is designed for high-density fiber patching in data centers which need space saving and reduce cable management troubles. With US Conec MTP connectors and Corning Clearcurve fiber, it is optimized for 40G QSFP+ SR4/CSR4, 100G QSFP28 SR4 optics direct connection and high-density data center applications.


Please note: The US Conec MTP connectors are fully compliant with the MPO standards, achieving higher performance levels when compared to generic MPO connectors.

MTP fiber patch connectors make use of precision molded MT ferrules with metal guide pins and precise housing dimensions to ensure fiber alignment when mating. MTP fiber cable can be mass terminated in combinations of 4, 8, 12, 24 and 48 fiber ribbon cables and are typically used in high-density backplane and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) applications within data and telecommunications systems.

A: No, there is a lead time to build all MTP cable assemblies.
Q: What is the difference between MTP and MPO?
A: MTP is the USConec brand name MPO that we use. The terms are interchangeable.
Q: How do I know what gender I need?
A: Gender refers to the metal guide pins coming out of the endface of the MTP. Most transceivers (QSFP modules) have male pins, so you'll need female cables to interconnect them.
Q: Where are these manufactured?
A: In our Melbourne, Florida, USA manufacturing plant.
Q: If I'm connecting directly from transceiver to transceiver, what polarity cable do I need?
A: You'll probably need a Method B Female to Female cable. Please check with your documentation to confirm.
